Day 2- Orisson (France) to Roncesvalles Spain)

As you read in my Day 1 post. Game day decision and I made a BIG decision to go the Napoleon route through the summit and not the lower and less dangerous route. This is the most unforgettable day for me. I was very apprehensive, very easily could have gone the other way. Sure enough it was the most challenging day I ever had physically in the outdoors, ever. We had everything thrown at us, fog most of the way, at times almost zero feet visibility, most of it with 10-20 feet. We had very strong winds that nice your feet of the ground, hail, rain and very cold temperatures. My thin gloves barely kept me from having a real problem. I had very little dexterity in my hands, hard to take photos ( took tons anyways). Lots to tell about today, but I am spent. Maybe I will do a part 2 for day 2 in next day or so. Tomorrow 22KM to Zubiri continuing the descent from the Pyrenees. I actually crossed the Pyrenees these two days, it is sinking in. I have a huge energetic thing going through me for the fact I made it and although very tired with some pains, no injuries. The training is proving to have been effective. Stay tube for Day 3.
