Post Camino -Day 3 Madrid

Today I walked 15 Km just around the city. Among the places I visited was the beautiful Rose Gardens in the vast Retiro Park. Also there they have an incredible permanent set of stalls of independent book dealers who buy and sell used books, it is fascinating to see the diversity of what they have, the way the store them, price them etc. after the shock of being a busy loud city after my 6 weeks of walking in mostly nature, I just had to go the park and sit and listen to the birds. It was a profound experience to feel I had to go there. At the same time what I live about Madrid is how alive it is.

Visited the famous Chocalateria San GINES for their famous churros and hot chocolate. Unbelievable! Just had the smallest order. Picture of the large churros was not mine, table next to me.

Anyways, this is it. I am all packed and tomorrow I fly home. Thanks again to all who followed this blog and encouraged me to do it, first time. It will give me a ready documentation of this important trip along with my private journaling and audio recordings of my thoughts. I hope to find an easy way to share more about the internal odyssey at a later time for those who have asked about it.

Leave you with this thought. Pay attention to your journey, where you have been, where are you at now and see how it informs how you best write the script for the journey not yet taken.
